Now the big question - did you end up marrying that beautiful young French lady ? :-) AussieRockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17984668558021295355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-15214775666645844692018-11-27T04:44:13.945+11:002018-11-27T04:44:13.945+11:00the above should have read "beautiful young F...the above should have read "beautiful young French lady ".
Thank You for creating and writing this blog, much appreciated.

Ps. nice to see on google street view the/a cafe still at the end of the road by the bridge where i got bacon butties and outside where we all said our goodbyes at the end.
BrianAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-31120595803911177992018-11-27T04:34:32.631+11:002018-11-27T04:34:32.631+11:00I went there chasing a beautiful young French who ...I went there chasing a beautiful young French who i had met in St. Ives. Was there from the day they were putting up the stage until the following Monday. The atmosphere was great, in front of the stage and in the camp site at night around the camp-fires meeting people from all over the place. Were only stopped by the police when collecting more wood for the fire when we returned from our search up the back lane with a large farmer's type gate and were obliged to return it from whence it came.
The music was great and a great selection, we didn't much care about the sound quality when in the field from midday til midnight.
The Faces had their own fans turn up who were far removed from us people who had sat it out all day, each day, before the stage. We didn't care for them.
Genesis was the last band and hence the end, we didin't want the weekend to end we wanted an encore and they didn't oblige hence the stage got pelted with beer cans. Those at the front of the audience got supplied increasingly with more beer cans thrown in waves from the back of the audience ; it was hilarious ( 'specially when stoned, i guess ).But was sad that a great weekend and event was about to end.

Great time, and i fell in love too !Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-34312172495374784952016-04-03T11:37:38.057+10:002016-04-03T11:37:38.057+10:00I actually went to this gig purely to see the fa...I actually went to this gig purely to see the faces and don't agree with the criticism here. This was 1973 and the music systems were piss poor at best in those days, the faces were the best live band around at that time, if you want perfection stay at home and listen to your vinyl, and Rory rocked like only Rory could, George best of rock and roll, God bless him.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08794687932791193870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-36135845693910978752014-03-06T18:35:50.404+11:002014-03-06T18:35:50.404+11:00As is mentioned in the post ?As is mentioned in the post ?AussieRockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17984668558021295355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-37066581907093524522014-03-06T04:33:47.676+11:002014-03-06T04:33:47.676+11:00It's not Alan Bowan or Andy Brown, it's An...It's not Alan Bowan or Andy Brown, it's Andy Bown!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-84231069033463969882011-06-29T21:17:25.724+10:002011-06-29T21:17:25.724+10:00Hey Led Boots - Richard Clapton is certainly a fav...Hey Led Boots - Richard Clapton is certainly a favourite of mine, so it might be time to get out some of his earlier records that aren't available on CD, and post them on the blog. Stay Tuned ! However, the 'Highway One' soundtrack isn't one of them I'm afraid - in fact, I've never seen a copy but am familiar with what the cover looks like.
Thanks for dropping byAussieRockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17984668558021295355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-31757303790949385332011-06-29T14:05:50.292+10:002011-06-29T14:05:50.292+10:00Great blog, real blast from the past.
