However..... This album is very much still commercially available on the bands own label and by putting it up here you really are stopping the band from earning their living. Hard enough in the music business as it is.
The other albums like Never Turn Your Back On A Friend that are original releases are also commercially available on CD as expanded remasters with a bunch of bonus material, again on the bands own label. Really if you like this band and respect what they do you it should be removed immediately.
Sorry to be killjoy but radio shows, soundboard recordings or bootlegs that are not available anywhere else are one thing but these Budgie releases are the bands lifeblood along with their live work. Both the albums are full commercially available items. Maybe not in Oz but certainly in the UK where the band are based.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-62676060247922644972011-06-20T20:29:55.319+10:002011-06-20T20:29:55.319+10:00Thanks Deutros - yep, same story here except my ta...Thanks Deutros - yep, same story here except my taste buds never stopped for this band. I was delighted to learn that they had reunited in the late 90's and was planning to visit England just to see them play - but family life took priority I'm afraid. So it wasn't until recently, when they toured Australia that I finally got to see them. A dream come true and they played all their classic tracks. My only regret is not seeing Budgie MKI with Tony Bourge, however their latest guitarist Craig Goldy was still amazing.
Budgie's official website has reported Shelley as being unwell at the end of 2010 with a cancelled tour in Poland, but can't seem to find any further updates - most disturbing !
Such is life, hey - take careAussieRockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17984668558021295355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4047234333310975506.post-2962054992704584442011-06-20T08:32:55.418+10:002011-06-20T08:32:55.418+10:00Hi Guy I was a massive Budgie fan in my youth have...Hi Guy I was a massive Budgie fan in my youth have the first seven albums on vinyl but then the same as Sabbath they seemed to loose their edge or I got older and my tastes changed still I mangage to have another 16 digital albums including this one but mine has minimal artwork and is only 160kbps so thanks for posting.Deutroshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947784716191727742noreply@blogger.com
