They grew up in Bellevue, a Seattle suburb that experienced a post-war boom as Boeing workers moved there in droves to raise families. In the '60s and '70s, Bellevue developed a hard rock scene dominated by wealthy kids with shiny electric guitars. The same scene launched Queensryche, Rail, and many lesser known hard rockers. Early on, Heart covered Led Zeppelin numbers, but Ann and Nancy were equally influenced by the Beatles, and the singer-songwriter movement exemplified by Carole King.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
